Becoming ones own teacher.

Our meetings together give us a chance to learn about various means of deepening mindfulness. We read from a text and engage with the material presented, then we’re free to experiment with awareness, breathing, chanting, and, reflection, the use of external assistants, beads, flames, images. We have conversations around the material too, which I believe opens up understanding.
We’ve touched on this material before, but here it is again with some commentary by two teachers who are deeply engaged with the process of deepening mindfulness.
Attached are a copy of the Kalama Sutra, A Gil Fronsdale essay and an essay from Bhikkhu Bodhi, a well known monastic and translator.
